Nadia and Carol

Nadia Comaneci, (born November 12th, 1961 Gheorghe Gheorghiu-Dej (now OnestiGheorghe Gheorghiu-Dej [now Onesti Romania) Romanian gymnast who was the first gymnast in history to receive a score of a perfect of 10 points in the Olympic event. Bela Karalyi discovered Comaneci at age six. She would later become the Romanian gymnastics coach. She first competed at the national junior championships in Romania in the year 1969, she finished 13th. Then in the year 1970, she was crowned champion. In 1972, at a meet of communist countries junior athletes prior to the Olympics, she won three medals of gold. Then in 1973 and 1974, she became the junior champion in all aspects. In her first international competition as a senior, in 1975 she bested the Russian Lyudmila Turishcheva the five-time European champion, winning four gold medals and one silver. She won the American Cup in New York City in 1976, becoming the first woman in history to complete a reverse double salto, which is dismounting from the uneven parallel bars. Carol Wayne.........................Carol Wayne was an American film and TV actor best recognized for portraying Art Fern's Tea-Time Movie Lady on The Tonight Show Starring Johnny Carson. When she was in her teens, she began performing in traveling shows like Ice Capades as a skater along with her younger sibling Nina Wayne. Carol Marie Wayne was a born on the 6th of September, 1942 in Chicago Illinois. Carol entered the entertainment industry as a teenager. As a young girl she was an ice skater with Nina Wayne in the travelling show of entertainment Ice Capades. These shows included the ice skating of which was followed by musical performances.
